Whoa it is getting hot here in Oklahoma. The local paper is showing that Tulsa is going to have seven straight days of 100F highs. Thank goodness for air conditioning is what I say plus I'm loving the cool, frosty, posts from our members south of the equator. Cools me down every time.
Above is a sunset photo of one of our past beach vacations. We'll be heading to the Gulf Coast in a little over a month. We love it there.
Everybody be weather aware out there. I'm fully acclimated, I go hiking and bicycling in the heat of the day now. I just do it. I wear lightweight technical clothes, a hat, and take lots and lots of water. Sitting.

Here I was, in a pickup truck years ago on some dirt road in western Oklahoma shooting a sky through a bug spattered windshield. I don't think I was driving so I did what I had to do to get the shot. Does Photoshop have a bug spatter filter? They got everything else I think. With this AI thing going on maybe in a year or two we can just think a photo into existence. A few years after the computers won't need us. Okay, I'll rein this in. Thank you for participating, pardon the bugs.

Above is the Snake River as it flows through Idaho Falls, Idaho. The city has done a great job of landscaping and putting in miles of trails on both sides of the river. In the summertime visitors from all over the world walk the trails snapping photos and taking in the sights. They stay in the city for a night on their way to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. When my parents were still alive and lived in the area I really enjoyed visiting them in the summer. Now winters, you better bring a warm coat.

Tulsa's RiverWest Festival Park on a little inlet off the Arkansas River in 2013. Note that the floating stage is long gone. Numerous community festivals and events take place at the park. People in Tulsa love the Arkansas River and have invested heavily over the years to add facilities and make improvements.
