Skywatch Friday - 28 August 2025 Edition

Denver Airport Sky

Those of you familiar with the Denver Airport know that it is way out in the middle of nowhere. It also has some great skies. I captured this on a flight with a layover in Denver some years back. I took it through the window of the jet I was on. It looks like a big storm was coming!!

I appreciate you participating in Skywatch Friday.

Skywatch Friday is open 12:30 PM on Thursdays, Oklahoma, USA time and stays open seven days until the next edition opens.

Skywatch Friday - 21 August 2025 Edition

DSCN4294

A sunset from Dad's house in Idaho Falls, Idaho during a visit there some years back. There were several forest fires going on in the area at the time. They make for hazy skies during the day but decent sunset photos.

I appreciate you participating in Skywatch Friday.

Skywatch Friday - 14 August 2025

The Tetons from the west Side

This is the Teton Mountains of Wyoming from the Idaho or west side of the Mountain. Not quite as spectacular as from Jackson Hole on the east side, but still pretty nice. Plus since southeast Idaho is pretty flat you can see the mountains from quite a ways away. I could see them from my parents driveway in Idaho Falls, Idaho which was at least 60 miles away. My parents are gone now so I don't get up there to see the sights and I miss it.

Skywatch Friday - 7 August 2025 Edition

Untitled

This is a sunrise from years ago as shot from the driveway of my house several years. Just goes to show you don't need to drive miles and miles for Skywatch Friday shots.
