Skywatch Friday - 29 August 2024 Edition

A grain elevator in Flandreau, South Dakota. These are scattered all over the plains states from the Dakotas down to Texas. There are less of them every year. I took this photo in 2014 and have no idea whether it is still standing. Actually as I wrote the last sentence, I realized I do have a way of knowing. Off to Google Maps with Streetview and yep, it is still there!! It even looks a little spruced up. Technology, don't you love it? I do.
