I hope that everybody made it through Christmas, now the New Year is coming up. The older I get the slower the days go and the faster the years go by. Has it really been eighteen years since the year 2000?
Thank you for participating in Skywatch Friday!!
Thursday, December 20, 2018
It is getting down to the home stretch for those of us who celebrate Christmas. Presents need to be bought, cards sent, decorations set out, you know the drill. I hope that everybody slows down a little for the season and enjoy it a little bit. Take a few photographs, a few sky pics and post them for us to admire!
We'll meet back up on the 27th and see who survived.
I wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Thank you for participating in another edition of Skywatch Friday. December is getting quite chilly. Here in Oklahoma we dodged a bullet when a forecasted snow and ice storm failed to appear which strangely enough made many people sad. I think those people are crazy.

Thursday, November 29, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating in this friendly and supportive little corner of the photoblogger world. This week we are starting at the same 2:30 USA CST as we have for years. Beginning next week we will two hours earlier at 12:30 PM USA CST. I hope that change doesn't unduly inconvenience anybody. I appreciate your understanding and support.
Thursday, November 22, 2018
It's that time of year. Winter is setting in and cold fronts are coming through with their blue skies and strong cold winds blow through. I'm just glad to get out and see it happen.
Happy Thanksgiving to everybody in the USA.

Thursday, November 1, 2018
Halloween is over, November 1 is coming along with colder weather, shorter days, and moody skies.
November 1 is also the Day of the Dead. A Mexican Holiday where family members gather and remember and pray for friends and family members who have died. It is becoming a bigger and bigger deal in Tulsa.
Speaking of shorter days. This weekend we switch to standard time and we'll start next week's edition of Skywatch Friday at 2:30 CST USA.
Thursday, October 25, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating October in Oklahoma is warm dry days and cool nights and is my favorite month of the year. I hope you are having a good month wherever you are.
Thursday, October 18, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating. Here in Oklahoma things got cold this past weekend after we had been running the air conditioning non-stop. Its about time is what I say. We start every week on Thursday afternoons at 2:30 PM USA CDT and stay open all week. So link early and link late later on if you feel like it.
Tuesday, October 9, 2018
Welcome to another edition of Skywatch Friday. I hope the skies are colorful wherever you are!! We are still running our air conditioning here in Oklahoma. My friends elsewhere report cold mornings and snow. I hope we don't have that for a while except my trail running and hiking friends tell me that the copperheads and rattlesnakes are still out and about.
Thursday, October 4, 2018
October is finally here but we are still running air conditioners in Oklahoma. No Fall Color, lots of pumpkin spice though.
Thank you for participating. We are open all week and we start at 2:30 CDT USA. Lets see you postst!
Thursday, September 27, 2018
Here in Tulsa a front blew through today and did it ever make a difference. The temperature has dropped considerably. It makes for pretty blue skies and summer is definitely over. I am not worried though, the temps are going to rise back up into the 80's so we'll keep the air-conditioners tuned up.
Welcome and thank you for participating in Skywatch Friday. We are open all week from Thursday at 2:30 USA CDT until the following week's edition starts.
Thursday, September 20, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday. The 22nd of course is the first day of Fall in the northern hemisphere and Spring in the southern. (I always wonder how flat earthers explain that.) Here in Oklahoma we are still running our air conditioners on high and further north, in Montana it is below freezing in the morning.
We start every Thursday afternoon at 2:30 PM CDT USA and keep going all week. The top spot in the order is always the most recent link. So we all get a chance to be number one! We are democratic that way, in a non partisan manner of course.
Thursday, September 13, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating! If you are in the target area of Hurricane Florence please get yourself to safety. Take your computer and camera with you! Let us know how you are doing! You are bloggers so I know I don't need to even say that.
September is a transition month for weather and here in Tulsa we finally have a break from the heat and humidity of summer. I love Fall, it is my favorite season.
We start a new edition every Thursday at 2:30 USA CDT and stay open until the next edition starts.
Thursday, September 6, 2018
Welcome to the first Skywatch Friday of September. We're still waiting for the weather to break in Oklahoma. I'm not worried, it will be cool soon enough.
We start every Thursday at 2:30 CDT USA and keep going for seven days until the next edition.
Thursday, August 30, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday where photobloggers from all over the world post their sky photographs. This is one of the safe and kind corners of the internet and we are glad you are here. We start every Thursday at 2:30 PM CDT US and keep open all week. I am hoping for no hiccups this week because my brand new Dell laptop cratered on me last night so I am doing this on my ipad, and I hope it works. (In case you are wondering, cratered is oilfield talk for won't work.)

Yellowstone National Park
Blame the many forest fires for the hazy skies.
Summer is rapidly coming to a close. School is already started in many areas, vacations of those with children are over, and now the empty nesters and those without school age children are heading out to take advantage of less crowded areas. Here in Oklahoma, the temperate weather generally lasts through the middle of November. So we are headed to cooler temperatures and the many bloggers in the southern hemisphere are looking forward to their summer. I love reading their posts during the extremes of our weather. When it is sweltering here, they are cool. When it is freezing here, they are at the beach. It is hard to be a flat earther when you are a blogger is what I think.

Thursday, August 9, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating. Here in Oklahoma we have had a variety of skies with all our changing weather. We have had rain, high heat, a cold front, lots of clouds and no clouds. Whatever you want, we got it this summer. How is your summer going? We start up every Thursday at 2:30 US CDT.
Thursday, August 2, 2018

Old AT&T Building in downtown Tulsa. A local church purchased the building and is renovating it. I just love it when old buildings are repurposed. I love the big arched windows on the first floor.
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating. We are open all week so whenever you feel like posting we are here. New editions start 2:30 PM US CDT.
Thursday, July 5, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday. Wednesday was the American Independence Day and we celebrated by eating and drinking too much and staying up too long watching fireworks in order to celebrate our Independence. It is a lot of fun.
This edition will be open all week until the next chapter of SWF, Thursdays at 2:30 CDT USA.

Thursday, June 21, 2018
Thursday, June 21 is a big day for Skywatchers and Sun Worshippers. The summer solstice is here so the days are going to be getting shorter and shorter, in the northern hemisphere until December. Lots of people profess to not like daylight savings time. I love it! And I love it combined with the longer days. So I am not a happy camper but I will deal with it since there is nothing I can do. I guess that I could move to Australia. If they'll have me. Thank you for participating in Skywatch Friday. We start every Thursday at 2:30 USA CDT and we keep it open for seven days until the next edition starts.
Thursday, June 14, 2018
Thursday, June 7, 2018
Welcome to the June 7 edition of Skywatch Friday. In the northern hemisphere we are headed full speed to summer. We start every Thursday at 2:30 CDT USA and keep the edition open until the next one starts. Thank you for participating. Skywatch Friday is all about the bloggers who participate.
Thursday, May 31, 2018
I opened up Blogger to do the Skywatch Friday post on Wednesday evening and wow!! I Got a notice that they are dropping all sorts of third party gadgets and such and of course since none of us pay blogger anything we just have to nod and go okay!! For Skywatch Friday it shouldn't make any difference. I don't think it is any big deal just for this meme.
Plus the stars of the Skywatch Friday show are you the bloggers who take the time to write the posts and then link them to here. Be that as it may, we start up every Thursday at 2:30 PM CDT US and stay open for 7 days until the next edition starts.
Thursday, May 24, 2018
Welcome to Skywatch Friday and thank you for participating. Here in Oklahoma we are deep into Spring and headed full speed ahead to summer. I am enjoying the very warm weather.
We start a new edition every Thursday afternoon at 2:30 PM US CDT and keep it open until a new edition starts the following Thursday.
Thursday, May 17, 2018
May 17 is Pack Rat Day, I don't think that I am much of a pack rat except when it comes to photographs. I have over 67,000 of them in my archives including over 5600 tagged "Skywatch." And yes I may have a photo hoarding issue and no, I don't plan on doing much of anything about it. At least all my photos are tagged.
Thursday May 17 at 2:30 US CDT also starts a new edition of Skywatch Friday. It will stay open, as always, all week until the next edition starts on the 24th. Thank you so much for participating.

Welcome to Skywatch Friday! I don't know what the weather is doing where you live but here in Oklahoma USA the weather doesn't know whether it is Spring, Winter, Summer, or maybe we just skipped and went to late Fall! I am still wearing winter clothing many of the days.
Oh well enough of whining about the weather. Thank you for participating. Just a reminder that we start up every Thursday at 2:30 USA CDST and keep it going all week so you don't need to wonder if it is still open or not.
Thursday, April 19, 2018

Welcome to the mid April edition of Skywatch Friday. I hope that you have your taxes done. I turned all out stuff into the accountant and now we get the accountant drama of when is he going to call so I can go pick up the packet and see how big a check I get to write. Who cares about taxes when Spring is here is what I say.
Please link your post below and visit as many other Skywatchers as you can. Lots of talent in this group. We start up every Thursday at 2:30 CDT USA and it stays open all week until the next edition starts.

Overcast sky with a blue heron.
Welcome to our first Skywatch in April. I don't know how Spring is going where you live but it is very chilly here in Oklahoma. Some are wondering if Mother Nature skipped Summer and went to straight to Fall.
We start every at Thursday at 2:30 CDT US and stay open until the following week's edition. Please link to your post below and link back here on your page. Thank you!! Contact Yogi at YogiABB(at)Yahoo(dot)com if you have any questions.

Thursday, March 22, 2018
Welcome to another edition of Skywatch Friday. It is now officially Spring but here in Oklahoma it is still chilly but the skies are clear and the wind is blowing. Of course if the wind ever stopped blowing half the buildings would fall down. About the only good thing about a strong wind is that it sure makes for a nice flag display. Anyway, warmer weather is on its way, or so I am told.
We start a new edition Thursday afternoons at 2:30 CDST USA and it is open until the following week's edition starts. So jump in anytime.
Thursday, March 15, 2018

Many apologies for messing up the timing of the linky. Hopefully everything is okay now.
Welcome to another edition of Skywatch Friday. Here in Oklahoma, the days are getting longer but it still very chilly and windy. The daffodils are up there so we know warm weather is right around the corner. Thank you and welcome to Skywatch Friday, a long time photoblog that keeps going and going thanks to the participants. We start this week at 2:30 CST USA and we will stay open until next Thursday. Note that next Thursday we will start at 2:30 Central Daylight Savings Time. Thursday, March 1, 2018
Welcome to the first Skywatch of March this year and thank you for participating. I went walking along the Arkansas River here in Tulsa and it was like perfect March weather. The sky was cloudy, the wind was blowing, and it was sprinkling rain every now and then. Everything was very unsettled. It does seem that our climate has changed. What we used to say in Oklahoma about March was; "In like a lion, out like a lamb." We used to get some good snow in March. Oh well! Please link your post with the linky below. We start every Thursday at 2:30 US CST and stays open for 168 straight hours (seven days) until the next edition. Happy Skywatching!!
Thursday, February 22, 2018
Thank you and welcome to Skywatch where you can see Sky photographs from all over the world. We start every Thursday at 2:30 USA CST and it stays open until the next edition starts.
Use the linky below to link your post to this page and link back here on your post. I am not much on rules, several people have linked more than one time, some people have linked instagram photos. The gym I belong to replaced their long list of rules to one, "Respect Others." Photo blogs are a very gentle corner of the internet and I have never had anybody be rude to me. And I love that. I have made a few mistakes as administrator of this meme and I appreciate everybody's patience.
Anyway, so much for that. So lets get to it!
